This excursion is used for Stage 3 to address The Australian Colonies content area (National Trust, n.d). Students experience what what housing was like and what different lifestyles were like for individuals. This learning also connects with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures and Asia and Australia’s Engagement with Asia cross curriculum priorities (through the context of these within colonial times). This also connects with the personal and cultural, critical, creativite and ethical general capabilities.
