Site Context: 

This location is the original building that served as the Governor’s house post-colonisation (restored) and is an important location for the convict and colonial history The contents and internal workings of the house has been kept as close to original as possible with some furniture, equipment and documents being original to the time period and some of which were made, used or found in the house during a specific governor’s period. It is a UNESCO world heritage site and supports learning about the local, historical and contextual conditions.
